The White Oak Foundation enjoys supporting the surrounding community. We are grateful to our current supporters and happy to share our 2016 accomplishments with you:

Fact Sheet

– Engaged with 449 hard-working families through our Housing program which included saving 53 homes from foreclosure through assistance from NCHFA;
– Provided rental assistance, medical assistance & utility payment assistance to 273 families in crisis;
– Provided budget counseling and financial literacy education to over 30 families;
– Provided 3,515 meals to senior citizens;
– Provided food to 10,870 families;
– Provided food to 34,853 individuals;
– Provided an educational & fun Summer Camp to over 45 children;
– Provided tutoring & mentoring to 8 at-risk students;
– Awarded $12,000 in scholarships to deserving scholars in the community; and
– Throughout 2016, the Foundation hosted and coordinated several Health and Wellness events by providing life-saving and life-changing, medical and behavioral health information and guidance to members of the community.  We conducted 21 mammograms; 37 dental extractions, fillings and cleanings; 18 blood pressure, A1C, cholesterol and diabetes screenings; 21 blood donations and distributed 20 personalized medical kits.
