The “Senior Citizens: A Continuum of Care” program focuses on the quality of life of our elderly population within our community.
Our Foundation offers a variety of intellectual, social and physical services to seniors to stay active and healthy in their community.
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday, Seniors over the age of 65 gather at our facility to participate in our Seniors Day Out program. Seniors participate in a number activities that include breakfast/lunch, information exchanges (nutrition, physical/mental health, insurance plans and legal services), exercise classes, movies, storytelling and games. Individual case management and resources may be identified and made available as needed.
At the close of each gathering, we offer Seniors bags of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, desserts and beverages to take home with them.
As an ongoing service, we can provide Seniors transportation to medical, dental, legal and social service appointments and scheduled fitness/exercise programs and shopping.
Quarterly, participates go on day trips to interesting landmarks, shopping and celebrate holidays with lunch/dinner and gifts.
We’ve established a special program to accommodate those who are homebound and disabled. Hot Meals are delivered to homebound seniors and the disabled three (3) days a week.
Throughout the year, the Foundation schedules and hosts Health and Wellness events focusing on high-risk medical conditions facing our senior population (high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes). We also schedule hearing, dental and vision care.
We welcome all in our geographic region to apply. Please contact us if you’d like to participate.
