Accomplishments

The White Oak Foundation enjoys supporting the surrounding community. We are grateful to our current supporters and happy to share our 2017 accomplishments with you:

Fact Sheet

- Engaged with 365 hard-working families through our Housing program which included saving 29 homes from foreclosure through assistance from NCHFA;
- Provided rental assistance, medical assistance & utility payment assistance to 122 families in crisis;
- Provided foreclosure prevention workshop to 27 families;
- Provided 3,334 meals to senior citizens;
- Provided 180 Senior Supplemental Food Boxes and 180 Diabetic Food Boxes;
- Provided food to 33,413 individuals;
- Provided an educational & fun Summer Camp to over 35 children;
- Provided tutoring & mentoring to 8 at-risk students;
- Awarded $12,000 in scholarships to deserving scholars in the community; and
- Throughout 2017, the Foundation hosted and coordinated several Health and Wellness events by providing life-saving and life-changing, medical and behavioral health information and guidance to members of the community. We conducted 18 mammograms; 36 dental extractions, fillings and cleanings; 17 blood pressure, A1C, cholesterol and diabetes screenings; 8 blood donations and 9 flu shots.
